For the sake of this blog I'm going to spell the word "blue" or "blew", "blou". I'm only doing this because I recently gave some thought into the many words we use that sound the same as "blue", "blew", or any other similar sounding but different spellings of this word.

The words that sound like "blou" have such a huge range of meanings and I can't really figure out how they go together. In many cases it appears to have some kind of relation to pressure, such as: he blou his top, or blou up a balloon. But then we can add more meanings to the mix, like the color blou, and how some people like their meat. You can also say that a comic's material is blou. Does that come from the meat reference, meaning it's raw?

The point I'm trying to make is next time you complain that someone else's language sounds confusing and is hard to learn, just remember the word "blou"
