Leaving New Zealand Soon

I had a really great time here in New Zealand, but frankly I'm getting sick of all of this fresh air and healthy lifestyle stuff.  I'm in a town right now with no McDonald's, no candy store, not even an arcade.

Best Breakfast So Far

This morning I ate my cereal with this view.  Apparently the mountain in the distance is a volcano, and it's possible that it will erupt any day now.  Nature is so awesome... Unless you live too close to lava spewing volcanoes I guess.

Things I Saw At The Zoo Today

- A koala leaping gracefully from branch to branch
- A tapir swimming
- A lizard walking on a window
- Two echidna almost finding love
- A chimp using tools... Go evolution!
- Elephants living, laughing, learning, and showering
- A kangaroo actually hoping and not sleeping
- Platypuses... Platypie.... Whatever the plural is.
- A civet cat pooping... Yummy coffee.

I Farted...

And nobody noticed.  That's the great thing about Hell's Gate, a place filled with boiling mud and sulphur vents.  No matter how many times you let on slip by, it can't smell worse than the air around you.  Having said that, I now reek of sulphur so I smell like a continuous eggy fart, but at least I have an excuse.

Glow Worm's Your Goodnight Friend

We visited the glow worm caves in Waitomo today.  Strange that you would pay money to see bugs that leave toxic spittle globs all over the place, but only because their ass' glow.  Having said that it was worth it.

Sad Socket

The electrical sockets here in New Zealand (and Australia) look so sad.  It's as if they're afraid of someone plugging a plug into their faces.  It makes me sad to say that to write this blog entry, I had to violate one of these poor little guy's.

Looking Much More Haggard

After more than 24 hours on airplanes and in airports...  I think we look pretty good... Considering.

Australia Is Nice

Some say it is the most photogenic city in the world.  I've only been here a day and I have to agree.  Tonight we'll be inside the opera house enjoying the musical sounds from Dr. Who...  Good nerdy times.

Changi Airport

It's really hot and lots to see.

Our Adventure Begins

This is what we look like before we burnt out. Flying to Istanbul.

Can't Sleep

I can't sleep on airplanes...  Why does it suddenly smell like mint?  Only 5 more hours to go...  I'll stop babbling now.

In the air over India, I think.

Signs I Like

I wish I could sleep on baked goods every night.
 Scary puppet shows are scary.
I'm not sure what this sign is trying to say, but it looks cool.

Tree VS Fence - The Winner...

The treeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! I've never seen a tree do so much damage to a man made object in my life.  Not only is it pushing a marble pillar aside, it's bent the metal bars of the fence as well.  Most scary is the fact that it's actually consuming the fence.

Signs I Like

Some important rules for climbing the Acropolis in Athens.  I should note that I did introduce the Acropolis to my banana, and the Acropolis was very rude.  I should also note that I did sing "I just met you, and this is crazy" as well.  I'm a bad boy.
It looks like he's going to eat the next cat that walks by.

Two New Bathrooms

Went out a lot this weekend, and I manged to ad two more bathrooms to the bathrooms I've been to map.  This one's at a famous site in Greece.
This one's at one of the many IKEAs in Athens.

Click here to find these bathrooms on our Bathrooms I've been to map.

The Greek Man In Long Underwear

There was a man who played a ukelele,
He screamed out his songs attracting nary a lady.
His songs unromantic he did not flirt,
Wearing long underwear and a small tank top shirt.
He asked for a fee for his minstreling skills,
I needed instead some headache pills.
Not a cent he received from me passing fro,
But did he stop singing, the answer is no.
The skill of music takes years to prepare,
But not for the man in long underwear.

Signs I Like

I haven't been posting too much here on Grit My Teeth lately, but rest assured I haven't forgotten about my loyal readers.
That naked yellow man looks like he's going to hit his head.
I love this font, does anybody know the name of it?

I'm Mister May

I just got this package in the mail... what could it be?
The only way to find out is to open it up.
Why it's a great looking desk calendar, perfect for all of my calendering needs.
What's this I see during the month of May?
Why it's a wonderful photograph of the Greek parliament... I wonder who took this gorgeous photograph?

Click here to see some of my other photographs from Greece.
