I was walking down the street and I saw two people walk up to two other people with a dog. The couple said to the dog owners “she’s so beautiful” and one of the dog owners said “thank you”. Objectively when you think about that response, it’s weird. Either the owner was speaking for the dog, or they took credit for the genetic makeup of the dog as if the owner did anything more than go to a place where dogs are available and point to one and say “I’ll take that one”.
