Throughout designing my latest art piece that examines spreadable foods, I've had a problem. I felt that adding a real knife to a portion of the piece would help sell the basic idea, but I was afraid. I have another piece called "
One Teaspoon of Rice" where I've attached a spoon. I'm worried that I'll be known as the guy that attaches cutlery to his canvases. I'll just wait for the first person to approach me and ask when I plan to build my "fork" piece. Since food is a regular, but not constant, theme in my pieces, it only makes sense that cutlery would make an appearance, I just don't want it to be a theme.
