Latest From Stone Piece

 I've been toiling over my latest From Stone piece trying to get it working right.  I've done a bunch of sketches to try and figure out the look I want.

And I've painted it over and over again.  It's a little different than my usual From Stone pieces, since I usually use watercolour instead of acrylic   I also usually paint on paper, instead of straight on the photo.  This isn't my first time doing this, I did a piece in the past called Life From Stone.

Epic Vacation Bathrooms - Part 3

To cap off my epic vacation bathrooms, I've just posted all of the bathrooms that I came across in New Zealand.

New Zealand is a beautiful place to visit, and they know it.  The good thing about knowing that you're a nice place to visit is ensuring that there's always a public bathroom when you need it.

Epic Vacation Bathrooms - Part 2

On my epic adventure through Australia, I managed to find several place to "visit".  Some were strange, some scary, but best of all I managed to learn a few things about bathrooms and about myself.

I don't always have the opportunity to photograph the inside of every bathroom I visit   Sometimes I have to settle with a photograph of the sign or front door of a bathroom.  Sometimes it's not a question of "settling" with the sign, sometimes the sign is the best part.

This bathroom actually confused me so much that I had to come back later to see how it really worked.  The urinals had these grates above them, and I wasn't sure if I was supposed to stand on them or not.  I was by myself, and I was nervous that if I did it wrong, someone would walk in and freak out.

As you can imagine, on my epic Australian/New Zealand trip, I did manage to stop at a few bathrooms along the way.

I even manage to check out a few bathrooms on the way to and from Australia.  I've added those today, and I'll be adding more later this week.

Hot Or Not

Apparently it's snowing in Athens (home) and here in Sydney we're having an insane heatwave with severe brush fire warnings.  I wonder what it's like in Canada right now?

Me vs A Kangaroo

My life long dream of boxing a kangaroo came true....  Well sort of.  I'll post more about this when I get home.

Cartoon nerds rejoice, it is a real place.

While the gift shop at the train station did sell nice things, and it was in sugar cane country, I found neither spices or chemical X.

Nana Nana Nana Nana Nana Nana Nana Nana Bat.

All those blurry specks in the sky... Well those are bats.  Bats with a 1 meter wing span, thousands of them, flying over Cairns.  You can bet I'll sleep well after witnessing this spectacle.

We just flew 3 hours out of our way to watch the sun set over the biggest rusty rock I've ever seen.  It may be the biggest rock in the world, but I'm no geologist.
